PTF 2003 Mock Draft

This Mock Draft is based off pre-private workout reveal... so, things could be influenced WILDLY if players take a bad skew - raising other talent toward the top of the round.

1.11 – WR Kassim Osgood… the Seattle Seahawks organization had bad blood with CB Shawn Springs and let him walk without even offering him a LOW ball contract offer – but the team is also a bit thin at WR, and 6’5” doesn’t come along VERY often so they go offense with the selection.

1.12 – CB Marcus Trufant… though the St Louis Rams are still shopping the aging WR Isaac Bruce (in the final year of his deal), I suspect he goes no where and the Rams draft to fill a need on defense.

1.13 – SS Troy Polamalu… the Titans jumped from the bottom of round one [sending picks 1.28 & 1.29], so you know they have intent with this selection! I think the Titans get SAUCEY and take a player that allows them to use a NON-traditional position move [safety to linebacker].

1.14 – SS Hanik Milligan… one of the more READY to play talents in the draft – and fills a need for the Miami Dolphins.

1.15 – HB Larry Johnson… even though the Minnesota Vikings have four HBs on the roster [one of which they traded for], they don’t seem satisfied with any of them.

1.16 – WR Brandon Lloyd… the Kansas City Chiefs need someone that can stretch the field to keep defenses honest and not LOAD 8 in the box to stop HB Priest Holmes.

1.17 – LT Jordan Gross… being a bit surprised that such a talent slipped this far in the first round – the New Orleans Saints RUSH to the podium and take a player to be the cornerstone of their offensive line.

1.18 – RT Marques Ogden… fearing there might be a RUN on offensive linemen, they draft for need vs Best Player Available.

1.19 – LT Jon Stinchcomb… when you have one of the MOST promising QBs in the league – YOU PROTECT HIM!

1.20 – LE Ty Warren… not necessarily a pick that fills a need (at defensive end anyway) – I could see the Denver Broncos getting creative and using Ty Warren across the defensive line (defensive tackle maybe).
