17. New Orleans Saints - OT Marques Ogden, Howard
Ogden could be the most athletic tackle (68 SPD, 92 STR, 67 AGI, 83 ACC) in the draft with very good pass blocking skills (89 PBK). He could be BPA at this point with a lot of upside. He’ll replace RT Kyle Turley, 28, when he’s done playing for the Saints. In the meantime he’ll hold things down at the LT slot while perfecting his craft for elite pass rushers on the other end.
18. Miami Dolphins - OG Kris Dielman, Indiana
The Phins elect to bolster their offensive line to protect their new QB investment. Dielman could be already among the top tier guards from day one given his PBK/RBK skills and elite SPD (74). Only 21, Dielman looks like he can continue developing at guard briefly before locking down the RT spot if a team wished to invest the necessary AP.
19. New England Patriots - HB Willis McGahee, Miami
Whatchu’ talking about Willis? Yeah, the dude is big Willy @ 235lbs with 87STR and 86 BTK to go along with 93 CAR, so he should put up good numbers out of the gate. A good running back will help take the load a bit off QB Tom Brady who appears still to be looking for help at wide receiver, but none seem worthy at this juncture.
20. Denver Broncos - Antwan Peek, Cincinnati
Peek has the ideal size and strength for a 34 middle linebacker (6’3”, 255 lbs, 78 STR) but he can move well enough to fit any scheme with his 87 SPD. His AWR (64) and TAK (74) are a good starting spot for the 22-year old talent. Paired with Al Wilson, the middle of that defense should prove formidable in the near future.
21. Cleveland Browns - OG Vince Manuwai, Hawaii
Browns, as most teams, have a lot of needs to address so they’re able to just go BPA in this position. Manuwai is a XL 333lbs with the requisite mobility, IQ and skills to be a day one starter. Long term he should end up at RG and hold down the position for quite some time.
22. New York Jets - CB Dennis Weathersby, Oregon State
The Jets still need some work in the cornerback room, and Weathersby appears to have the highest ceiling of what’s left. He is a bit raw with his poor awareness, but the height/speed combination might prove too tempting to pass by.
23. New England Patriots - DE Ty Warren, Texas A&M
He’s raw for a 23 year old but how many 6’5” 300lb defensive ends can potentially 90 SPD? I can’t think of one, so Warren reunites with his guys in New England, and it’s looking like the good old days on the Pats front seven.
24. Denver Broncos - TE Dallas Clark, Iowa
Clark may have 90 SPD, which would be a true weapon in this phase of the PTF. He’s only 22 with good awareness, pass block and run block. His biggest negative by far is his current suspect injury rating.
25. New York Giants - WR Brandon Lloyd, Illinois
Lloyd has good speed with the potential to be upper tier (93/95 SPD/ACC). He could even enter the league an elite deep threat if the private workout goes well. The Giants need to start adding to that receiver room early in preparation of the second coming of Eli.
26. San Francisco 49ers - OLB Victor Hobson, Michigan
The 21 year old is very good SPD (86) and ACC(86) with 84 TAK. Barring a disastrous private workout, the former Wolverine should have a chance at a pro-bowl at some point in his career.
27. Tennessee Titans - OT Makoa Freitas, Arizona
The Titans have glaring holes at either tackle spot, and I’d imagine that at least one of them, likely left tackle, will be manned by a rookie. Freitas should be respectable even in his rookie campaign.
28. Tennessee Titans - MLB Solomon Bates, Arizona State
Titans scouts enjoyed their visits to Arizona this year, as they select products of the state in back to back picks in the 1st round. Bates has elite speed (91), which is a trait coveted more than the typical by the Titans front office.
29. Miami Dolphins - SS Yeremiah Bell, E. Kentucky
Bellies a fluid safety (99 AGI, 94 ACC) who can lay the boom (84 TAK). The Dolphins have zero strong safeties currently on the roster so Bell is an easy fit for the complete rebuild currently underway.
30. Dallas Cowboys - OT John Stinchcomb, Georgia
Stinchcomb is about as athletic as they come in this draft though he needs time to polish his technique. He has the potential to eventually become a starting right tackle.
31. New York Giants - MLB Kawika Mitchell, USF
I guess I like reuniting players most of the time. Mitchell is well rounded with no glaring weakness and will be a long time starter in the league.
32. Tampa Bay Bucs - DE Earl Cochran, Alabama State
Cochran can potentially have 90+ SPD, so even if he disappoints elsewhere, the prospects of that kind of physical advantage will get someone to bite. At the end of the first it seems a bit more appropriate.
Good luck everyone!
