NFC East
1.

Washington Redskins
2.

Philadelphia Eagles
3.

Dallas Cowboys
4.

New York Giants
Analysis: Every seems to assume that the
Dallas Cowboys are going to run away with this division, but I don't think Drew Brees fixes the rest of the issues on the team. In fact, I think the most "put together" roster belongs to the
Washington Redskins. I have them winning the division, beating out the
Philadelphia Eagles for the AFC East title. Last place will be the
New York Giants...I just don't trust them to be able to hold any lead less than 20 points.
NFC North
1.

Green Bay Packers
2.

Minnesota Vikings
3.

Chicago Bears
4.

Detroit Lions
Analysis: This is a two team race, at least at the current time. I still think the
Green Bay Packers win the division, but I imagine the
Minnesota Vikings will be a few games behind them. The other two teams? It's going to be a rough season. I edge out the
Chicago Bears just because of what we saw them do with Ryan Leaf last year. The
Detroit Lions are doing the slow rebuild and are not there yet.
NFC South
1.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2.

Carolina Panthers
3.

Atlanta Falcons
4.

New Orleans Saints
Analysis: The
Tampa Bay Buccaneers disappointed greatly in 2003. Then, they surprised us all and made the big move for Drew Bledsoe. This puts them back on top. I do like the
Carolina Panthers as the second team in the division, but the
Atlanta Falcons could make some movement too. I think the
New Orleans Saints are a clear cut last team in the division.
NFC West
1.

San Francisco 49ers
2.

St. Louis Rams
3.

Seattle Seahawks
4.

Arizona Cardinals
Analysis: Am I crazy? Probably. Am I slighting my biggest division rival? We'll see week 1 on the field. But I'm picking the
San Francisco 49ers to win the division this season. I like what they've done and the
St. Louis Rams have regressed a little bit. This will be a very competitive top of the division. The
Seattle Seahawks will easily be the third team, while my
Arizona Cardinals will definitely be in last place.
