Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind #4
By Apolo Shapiro
Special to primetime-football.com

What? Apolo didn’t cancel the series? That’s right! Im back! Have been busy the last couple weeks, doing what? Well usually close the article with my personal adventures, sometimes doesn’t but anyway. On the last months, I think since April, maybe March? I cannot remember exactly, dory memory. Decided to start a pixelmon server, fun thing because I didn’t know minecraft was a thing till like a couple of years ago a friend invited me to play, couple of months after left SFL, had that open time, and because on my day to day have to spend much day on home so said, why not. Well got some friends in there, and realized I did want to advneture having a server, initially was looking at it as a business, at this point only have lost money and lost economical interest, (I mean at some point it should have some profits and won’t complain about it lol), but mostly have been a fun journey, have learned a lot of things and also have been a good way to keep the mind focus at something, it of course also comes with responsibilities and a lot of work, yeah playing videogames is fun but there’s a lot of fun behind. Also did start it on the worst timing possible as the mod Pixelmon changed from old 1.16 version to new 1.21, and most of my custom mods and code became obsolete, right now im working on moving everything, current server close at the end of this month and will launch the new one in december. If someone curious and want to check it, this is my website:

https://pixelmonstadium.com/

I think this must be one of the few servers with detailed website, Im trying to take different approach with it, doing things differently and mostly will focus in pokemon competitive academy teaching new players the game, been playing pokemon for more than 20 years so is a big passion, and during some part of my life was obsessed with competitive ranking top 100 in almost any format, winning multiple tournaments and reaching #1 of world in monotypes, and that’s it, a bit long introduction, on things not related to madden or the league, but hey I think is cool we share more things about ourselves, so here I am.

Week 4 comments

This is the week that won’t be good to remember but one way or another is part of the league, yeah games were lost on time and replayed but it is part of life and everything got fixed now. Another personal note, as said in episode 1 im re-watching the arrowverse, already reached the Flash, so is like Reverse Flash decided to go back in time and mess up things, Eli Manning is Nora Allen. Im sorry Breck, but is imposible to avoid talking about the big injury of the league so far, coming from a guy with almost 99-99 inj and tgh, when there are guys with awful injury out there. The life is cruel, madden is cruel, and there’s nothing can be done, Bryan did injury Manning, but he got the wrong brother

5 of the 6 replayed games changed the result, which is something interesting that could open an interesting debate, how much of a flip coin games are? of course is not on the rates of a flip coin 50% - 50% because the good teams will always have better odds, but the probability to end on a perfect season are minimal, even more when teams start to improve, last season I think Packers and Rams reached their game undefeated or close to that, in week 12 or close to that, now we don’t have a single undefeated team after this week. That’s crazy not a single team on 32 was able to go 4-0, we have undefeated teams with 0 wins, but that’s for bizarro world, oh man I miss superman vs bizarro, ngl tbh I feel like the games were not as popular, I had fun writting the articles, but took a long long time, I might try to bring something like that back, with some improvements.

On another big news of the week, the league added a new GM, a new friend. Christopher Hinch, he did make multiple trades as soon as he joined but that will be a topic for next episode, for now, welcome to the league Christopher, I wish you feel welcome and have ton of fun here. We’re all a bunch of weirdos, but we all friendly.

On another interesting events of the week, America team had a bye, tv ratings suffered, without the most popular team of the world playing.

Ravens and rookie QB Cody Picket are playing top football, we should start asking ourselves if we should hack into Norbert PC and see his gameplans and data, I had the opportunity to do meet the gm with him and we discussed about how he implements his data, I could be wrong would need to go and re-read but I think he told me used to coach a team irl, and that’s why I always say winning here is hard, have so many veterans, so many styles, many strategies that finding success is something to be recognized. If the season ends today or well last week as this is week 4, I think the GM of the year should be GM Norbert, maybe that team miss playoffs, the division is playing top football, but so far imposible not to recognize how he handling the rookie QB, I will save that data for whenever I have to develop a QB. Congrats Norb

Dolphins got their first win on one of the replayed games, vs divisional rival Jets, Im not entirely sure how Felipe felt about that, a high pick was on his radar, and when all it’s done he might miss that lose, it’s crazy but is the 2nd season that after a bad start he says: ok, give me 1st overall pick, here we go, and then Madden says: no no no, and he wins. Felipe enjoys rebuilds im curious to see what he does in Miami.

Brad Barber put himself in a bad position, he will now have to take a decision at week 7. Will he play Brett Favre vs Cowboys and his buddy Apolo, after he helped Giants playing his sophomore QB Ragone, that would feel like a betrayal, like a knife on the back, well it’s true were the Giants, and also it’s true should develop QB vs those kind of teams, and was basically a bye week, wait, is Brad the first GM to lose at bye week? Actually NVM I see why he did it, bring me Favre Brad, but be careful, the Rodeo Stampede will come stronger, play him under your own risk. Anyway yeah in the result everybody expected... Giants beat Packers, oh yeah that sent my eliminator season to graveyard, ty for nothing Packers!

And that basically close the week 4, a week is part of the past, with some problems, yeah but on the past, moment to look at the future. For this edition I talked more about my personal projects than about the league, but hey that’s how it goes.

Week 5 predictions

Not really predictions, because well, this Barry Allen went to future and already know the results, but more like things I was looking forward entering the week.

What Chargers were going to do with their QB situation? sitting at 3-1, they did what I was expecting, go and grab a QB, sorry spoilers, or not, I mean the move techinically happened on the week, I guess it really depends on when write the article, but will discuss the trades on the next episode.

Will Michael Vick finally win a game? well he plays vs a team lost vs a 3rd qb, 3rd string QB, I don’t recall ever losing vs a 3rd string QB, and yeah have lost awful games, but the Lions are in another level, they will get an stacked team with all the top 3 picks grabbing? 100%, they might win a SB but Rod, 3rd string QB!. Back to Falcons, idk what happened ot them, but as mr Collins says: Lock of the week.

Should I predict week 5 results now? Maybe I can go 14-0.

Winners of week 5 predictions:

Falcons
Cowboys
Vikings
Colts
Patriots
Buccs
Steelers
Bills
Jaguars
Panthers
Cardinals
Rams
Ravens
Packers

let’s see how I do it, maybe can beat Tom... Jokes aside, I’m really happy Tom is writting those predictions, love reading more content

Probably there were more things I wanted to see on week 5, but it’s almost 2 am and should sleep

Song of the week:
