Week 7 picks

@ | Winner:
I think the Titans, if they would stop benching their starting QB, are the better team here, despite the Vikings currently being regarded as the #1 team by LeaguePulse. The game is in Minnesota and I do believe in home field advantage, but the Titans have been so good when McNair is under center I don't think I can pick against them. Great game though!

@ | Winner:
I have said it a few times and it's quite likely I end up eating my words at some point, but the Ravens are carried by star defense led by Chris McAlister, Ed Reed, Peter Boulware, Ray Lewis, Bart Scott and Adalius Thomas. No impact players have been added to the team, but they're good enough with what they started with. Their whole method is to stonewall an opposing offense and chew it out on the ground. The Bills knocked them out in the playoffs last year and may know the recipe to bring them down.

@ | Winner:
If there was a team I was wrong about it was the Panthers and GM Daren Roberts. I know they had some pieces as I had to tinker with that lineup until Daren joined us, but they definitely continue to overachieve. When that team builds more talent I think they're going to be super dangerous. Billy Volek is playing great! I think the Panthers are too hot for the Chargers to knock off, especially since they're trying to figure things out with their new QB Jake Delhomme after the Eli Manning season ender.

@ | Winner:
The Browns have dropped 2 straight games in blowout fashion. Tim Couch has done alright and then benched week 5 against Pittsburgh for the 31-year-old Holcomb. He did not inject any new life into the team and they lost 48-10. The Browns wisely returned to Couch this week but dropped the divisional game against the Bengals 40-16. I don't think you can roll with Holcomb without essentially signaling that you're tanking. Regardless, I think the Eagles are playing well enough to win this one convincingly.

@ | Winner:
I thought the Jaguars were going to make it interesting in the AFC South. That division already has two of the best teams in the league, but the Jaguars could have made some noise in the conference with Mark Brunell behind center. They won their only 2 games when Matt Mauck was injured and Brunell crushed it. He was knocked out of this past week's contest after only 6 pass attempts, leaving Jacksonville to rely on their 3rd string QB. Facing the Colts is a tall task, even with Brunell healthy again this week, it's hard to bet against the Super Bowl Champs.

@ | Winner:
Another week where I think "this has to be the week", in regards to Atlanta. I thought they had a chance to compete for the division and here they are at 1-5. Just a tough year for them so far. This is an opportunity to be a bounce back game for them against the Kansas City Chiefs. Their 2 wins came against the Texans and the Jaguars 3rd string QB. Both teams are struggling, I am rolling with the team I believe to have the best talent.

@ | Winner:
Barring the Rams benching Kurt Warner, this game is a lock. The Dolphins did just sneak out a win against Buffalo this past week, in which they didn't have a lead until the final 2 minutes of the game. Divisional games can be funny like that, but I don't think that kind of magic is going to work against St. Louis. This may be their last chance at a ring before a rebuild/retool.

@ | Winner:
The Mendez bowl. This should be the game of the week, right? The Lions have the worst offense in the league and matched up against the 28th defense in the league. The Giants with the #19 offense have a much tougher test as the Lions have the #5 defense. From a difficulty perspective it should be easier for Detroit to move the ball. The defense will likely keep them in control of this game. I wanted to lean New York in this one. I'm actually rooting for a tie!

@ | Winner:
Bears, Bucs, Battlestar Galactica! I think this is an easy matchup for the Bucs. They have been cruising this year even though they just lost by 21 to the Rams. It's the Rams, that was more of a test for the playoffs that anything that would sway my opinion of their regular season capability. I think they're one of the best teams in the NFC, but a bit untested as they really don't have any "good" wins. A win is a win though.

@ | Winner:
The Jets new GM came in and immediately went into full rebuild mode. They have traded QB Chad Pennington, RG Brandon Moore and RE John Abraham. A divisional opponent had actually made better offers on Moore and Abraham but got the cold shoulder. With these trades any chance the Jets had at contending this year is out of the question. The Patriots are obviously one of the premier teams in the league and should win this one easily. The Patriots are a lock this week.

@ | Winner:
Seattle was blown out by New England this week. At 2-3 they are definitely a team that is underperforming. I think they're more of a "win now" team than Arizona is, but Arizona is playing tougher. I am ultimately leaning on the team talent right now with the more veteran QB, but the way Seattle has played it would not surprise me if they got blown out in this one.

@ | Winner:
Green Bay is undefeated right now if they don't bench Favre to try and get Dave Ragone progression. They have dropped games against both Mendez brothers, perhaps that was a gift from GM Brad Barber. Has he been blackmailed? Are there compromising photos of him? I believe an investigation is in order. For now, the Packers are the better team. They won't bench Favre against the Cowboys, but if anybody else was able to dig up compromising photos of Brad, Apolo would be one of my first guesses, but we all know Breck would be the obvious culprit with his fascination for nipple pics.

@ | Winner:
After losing QB Brian Griese for a few weeks it felt like all was lost with the Raiders. But Jim Sorgi and Jeff Smoker came in for the tag-team this week and took down the Broncos. Both teams had 3 turnovers, it looked ugly, but a win is a win, especially when you're without your starting QB. This week Oakland gets to face the Saints. Despite sitting at 3-3, they have been smoked the last 2 weeks by the Bucs and Vikings. I still can't get over their week 3 win over the Rams, that has to be the upset of the year! While I think the Raiders have this one, that goes to show you that you can't take the Saints lightly!

@ | Winner:
It's easy to forget that QB Carson Palmer is still a 2nd year, 64 AWR QB because he has played so well. He is 9th in QB Rating on the year, which is impressive considering his ratings. There is some hesitation as they have played the Jets, Dolphins and Browns thus far, not exactly teams with great defenses. They had a 9-3 win over Pittsburgh and were shutout by the Ravens. The Broncos have a good defense and it has been tested the past few weeks so it could give Palmer and the Bengals trouble. QB Chris Simms is enduring the young QB growing pains we're accustomed to seeing and only has 2 TDs on the season.
