2005 PTF Draft Trash- Predicting Who Will Be Available in the 7th Round
If you are like me and have traded away all of your good draft picks and are left to draft roster fillers this is for you! As I do this article it will be the first time that I have glanced at this year’s draft class. This of course means I have not completed any private workouts. I will be doing those as the 6th round ends on draft day, since I have only 7th round picks.
Here is my prediction as to who will be sitting there in the 7th round crying “Pick Me, Pick Me!”
Here is a quick look at how the 2005 NFL draft went: Not a lot of stars but I do remember a couple of the names, with the biggest (to me) being QB’s Ryan Fitzpatrick and Matt Cassel. By the way, these 7th rounders averaged a four year deal worth $4.3 M, not a bay way to make a living! Of course there were more than 32 picks in the NFL's draft due to comp picks.

AWR 48, ACC 61, PBK 77, RBK 79, Even with great size of 6’8” & 300#+, his combo of AWR and not being mobile with poor blocking skills spells doom. He might get drafted but it will be in the 7th round.

K’s
David Rayner- 21 years old, College: Meat Chicken State
I almost didn’t list this guy but decided I would based on: a.) I got to say “Meat Chicken” again and b.) if his KAC stays the same or even lowers he is useless even with that amazing power.
P’s
Reggie Hodges- 21 years old, College: Ball State
KAC 69, Even if this KPW stays maxed at 99 this guy will never be worth a roster spot.
---------
I think we could see the PFL draft mirror the NFL one as I believe I predicted a number of guys to be taken I round 7 that really were drafted in the 7th round of the NFL draft. I tell you though, usually I can find a couple guys that I would be excited to draft in the 7th round, I don’t think I am excited about any of these guys. It is not going to be a pretty draft for my Tennessee Titans. BTW, notice there were zero players from THE Ohio State University in either NFL draft nor projected PTF draft. That of course if because Buckeye players are cream of the crop and cream rises baby!
