PTF should go International !!!!!!!!!!!
By Olivier Ratajczak

PTF is a worldwide league. It matches perfectly the sport development as various fellow GMs are not from the US.
Indeed, apart the US, the sport is practiced with more than 45 countries which have a professional or “amateur” federation with championships and national Teams. They all also are part of the International Federation of American Football.

The most prominent continent to do so is Europe with the following countries:
- Austria
- Belgium
- Czechia
- Denmark
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Great Britain
- Hungary
- Ireland
- Israel
- Italy
- Malta
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Poland
- Russia
- Serbia
- Slovakia
- Spain
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- Türkiye
- Belarus
- Ukraine
- Luxembourg
- Slovenia
- Georgia
- Croatia
- Portugal

As for the Americas:
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Canada
- Chile
- Colombia
- El Salvador
- Guatemala
- Haiti
- Honduras
- Jamaica
- Mexico
- Nicaragua
- Panama
- Uruguay
- Trinidad & Tobago
- Dominican Republic
- Venezuela
- Bahamas

Africa:
- Cameroon
- Congo
- Egypt
- Ivory Coast
- Kenya
- Nigeria
- South Africa
- Tunisia
- Uganda
- Zimbabwe
- Ghana

Asia:
- India
- Indonesia
- Japan
- Jordan
- Korea
- Kuwait
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Vietnam
- Hong Kong
- Kazakhstan
- Thailand

Oceania:
- Australia
- New Zealand
- New Caledonia
- Papua New Guinea
- Tahiti
- American Samoa

What does this mean? It means that PTF should consider, as the NFL does, expand its league worldwide. How so? Various possibilities:
- Playing games outside US stadiums: like the NFL do
- Making partnerships with teams in other countries: that what some Canadian Universities are doing
- Developing a league or leagues as did the late NFL Europe to help develop PTF players and create the opportunities to benefit from the market worldwide

As for myself, I would favor the third option, and first in Europe. It is to note that justly in Europe, on the so cold embers of the NFL Europe (and more) it was recently created the European Football League with various teams whose names will draw some memories:
- Berlin Thunder
- Rhein Fire
- Frankfurt Galaxy

There is something to make, as for example, as of now, there NFL teams that are following the movement: Saints GM and LB were showcased in Paris to exchange football experience with fans. A flag game was also showcased between Paris and NO at halftime during the game between Paris and Vienna.

So, what is my proposition after all: a PTF Europe where PFT teams can choose up to three players to develop like it can be done with training camp. Overall Madden grade can’t be higher than 70, and they would have a bonus on 3 key attributes varying between 1 and 3 points of retribution. The numbers of attributes will be down one per year after the first with no more than 3 years in PFT Europe (as it was for NFL players during NFL Europe).
Those players won’t be eligible to AP points use during the span in Europe.

This in my opinion will firmly help the league goes into the future more prepared for its business survival. The NFL did it and does it again with abroad games, the NBA is doing it the same way. That means that PTF can no longer ignore that football is no more a US sport, like soccer did changing its number of teams in the world cup.

Let’s go forward!
