My reaction to the TEN teams that find themselves undefeated…
AFC Perfection
Cincinnati Bengals 2-0… Mildly surprised – knowing they faced the Browns week 2, we should pump the breaks before anointing them AFC North Champions (though, I’m impressed with the hard-fought win against the Ravens).
Pittsburgh Steelers 2-0… Mildly surprised – knowing they faced the Browns week 1, we should pump the breaks before anointing them AFC North Champions (though, I’m impressed with the play of QB Luke McCown).
Tennessee Titans 2-0… As I would have expected – VERY impressed by the 95 points scored in 2 weeks (I can’t wait for their FIRST real test – week 11)!
Houston Texans 2-0… To be expected – when you start off the season facing the Panthers and Chiefs, your odds are good to be undefeated (no shame in winning the games you’re supposed to though).
Denver Broncos 2-0… Everyone expected this – I’m anticipating week 11 to be the match-up of the last two undefeated teams (impressive for both victories to be by a score of 41-17).
NFC Perfection
Dallas Cowboys 2-0… To be expected – the powers that be must have decided the defending Super Bowl Champions deserve one of the SOFEST schedules in the league (collusion).
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-0… I need to see more – appears they are winning with defense (I like that), watch out if the offense decides to contribute.
Atlanta Falcons 2-0… Mildly surprised – VERY impressed with the win over the Vikings (McNair started at QB), need to see more from QB Michael Vick before I’ll be a true believer.
Arizona Cardinals 2-0… Seems about right (thus far) – granted a GIFT week 1 and needed a 4th QTR comeback week 2 (next 3 weeks will show whether the Cardinals are contenders or pretenders).
St Louis Rams 2-0… To be expected – until someone pushes the King of the NFC West from the hill, they are the favorite.
