Here's the first edition of PTF overreactions Friday.
This segment is presented by Rich Pilsen and Chris Flockman.

Chris Flockman : the Broncos is the only undefeated team in league right now, and Manning is playing with fire. If we trend his actual passing yard to a full schedule, it make 5800 yards. So with the Broncos marching on everyone so far, Manning will destroy his own actual season passing record by 800 yards and will log 6000+ passing yards !

Rich Pilsen : Oh boy ! Get out of here ! As much as I think Manning will beat his current record it will not be by that margin. For that he should go over 380 yards per game for the rest of the season. That is unreachable because the Broncos still have to play very good opponent and tough defenses. Morevoer, and specially, when the Broncos get the first round bye assured -because they will - GM Anthony Fernandez will rest Manning because the aim is a SB trophy. Fernandez won't risk any injury to his star QB after all the eggs he put in that basket. So clearly that is an overreaction.
Whant's next ?

Chris Flockman : We were all nuts when Minny traded Culppeper and then Randy Moss. Even with drafting Brandon Marshall and Vince Young we predicted them growing pains and a 2 to 3 years of bottomness before being contender again. This was then. Now they are atop of the division at 4-2 with only 4 top 10 teams in the remaining schedule. Even if with Lions being within 1 game, the Vikings will win the division and will be in the NFC game !

Rich Pilsen : Firstly I do agree they can win the division. Vince Young is raw but they have McNair who can play in the tougher games. So that is a real possibility. So that is not an overreaction. But having them in the NFC game is ! Look who is better than them no : Rams, Seahawks, Falcons and Eagles. Two of them will have a bye and two of them can be Minny opponents in the WC game. I don't see Minny defeating any of those. So no, no NFC game for the Vikings.

Chris Flockman : Next one. The Panthers in the last draft selected DeMeco Ryans as the first overall pick. They should have now buyer remorse because Overall and for QB Andrew Walter, the team would have better benefited having Brandon Marshall the Ryans, because even without Ryans, the Team would have had a fierce defense.

Rich Pilsen : I agree, that is not an overreaction. the MLB class was deep, and even if you don't have Ryans you could have gotten an excellent MLB. Dobbins, Jackson and Hawk are having excellent starts, and in the case of the guys playing in a 3-4 type defense, they would have reach the 50 tackles of Ryans.
Marshall would have greatly helped Walter, and maybe avoid his injury having another all-pro caliber type of WR. I don't if it would have helped the standings but for sure their QB. So no, not an overreaction.

Chris Flockman : The last one. Being in the soccer world cup period , I have this statement for you. considering the state of the AFC with 3 teams under 3 wins and the leader Steelers being at 3-3, I think that Mbappé will have more goals at the end of world cup that the AFC North division champ !

Rich Pilsen : Oh that's a good one. Very good one. Hum ... Mbappé score 6 goals last world cup, or so. His average is 6 ; so at minimum he may score 6. Now, there are more games to be played and if France is going to the final as it may happen, and with Mbappé chasing Klose as the leading world cup score, as well as chasing Olivier Giroud as the French National Team leading scorer, I see him motivated to score more than six. And with that French overpowered offense I can see him scores between 8 and 10. Would any team in the AFC North at least reach 8 wins ? Well yes and that maybe the Steelers. The point is I see Mbappé scoring 10 goals, and I don't think as of now the Steelers gettin 10 wins, even with a favorable schedule, because they have showed to be flawed enough to loose games. And remember, there are no easy games within the division. So Not an overreaction.
