I had hoped to do a legit mock draft. I was looking forward to doing one from a complete non bias viewpoint because I have only 1 single draft pick (3,13). I figured I could do one without any BS'ing or hiding whom I'd really take and not have a smokescreen (yes this happens!) but I ended up not having time. I've done something different: I've uploaded our entire draft class to Chat GPT and asked for it to provide a two round mock draft with having the most impactful players being suggested. As can be seen within the following script I have requested for the QB and CB positions to be given more value. I have removed the following positions from the draft pool since we don't place as much value in them: C, FB, K & P. I also asked to only consider AWR, THP & THA for the QB position so the scrambling QB's would be devalued. * I had to redo this 3 times as the first couple thee was too much emphasis on QB and CB.
The script I've used is as follows:
"I have uploaded our current draft class. Please provide me a two round (64 pick) mock draft. I want you to suggest who should be picked with picks 1-32 in round 1 and then picks 33-64 in round 2 based on how impactful the players should be in their Madden 08 careers based upon our previously discussed values. Our league places extra value on the QB and CB positions but players at these positions should not simply be placed ahead of other values if they do not possess legitimately good attributes."
Here was the final feedback from Chat GPT before the 64 picks:
"So for this version I'm using:
QB: AWR/THA/THP only; modest positional premium.
CB: still gets a premium, but much smaller. A CB has to be genuinely good to jump a comparable MLB, WR, OL, HB, safety, etc.
MLB/OLB: your established SPD/AWR/ACC/TAK/STR/AGI hierarchy.
DL: your established SPD/TAK/STR/ACC/AGI/AWR hierarchy, with some size consideration.
WR: athleticism + CTH, with your league's size preference.
Safeties: SPD/AWR/ACC/AGI/TAK/STR/CTH, with size helping.
OL: blocking ability, strength, awareness and durability.
Size: helpful, but never enough by itself to rescue a mediocre prospect.
Most importantly, I'm no longer going to manufacture CB or QB picks simply to represent the positional premium."

Round 2
Pick Player Pos. My reasoning

45 Fred Bennett CB 6'1", 81 SPD, 86 ACC, 96 AGI, 66 AWR.
46 Trent Edwards QB 69 AWR / 84 THA / 89 THP. Best pure QB profile, but the position doesn't get to jump 40+ better prospects.

48 James Jones WR 88 SPD, 94 ACC, 89 AGI, 72 CTH.

61 Josh Beekman RG 6'6"/319, 95 STR, 81 PBK, 78 RBK, 91 INJ.
62 Ted Ginn Jr. WR 89 SPD/91 ACC/85 AGI, but 69 CTH prevents a higher ranking.
63 Victor Abiamiri LE 6'4"/267, 72 SPD, 73 ACC, 74 AGI, 79 STR, 99 INJ.
64 Jordan Palmer QB 63 AWR / 83 THA / 92 THP. Interesting late pure-passing developmental option.

The most important part: Revis vs. everyone else. Revis isn't #1 because "CB is a premium position."He's #1 because when I put his actual attributes through your league's evaluation system, he is simply an exceptional Madden player: 99 SPD, 99 ACC, 99 AGI, 67 CTH, 64 TAK, 80 INJ, 84 TGH. That's an absurd foundation for a rookie CB.
Meanwhile, Patrick Willis at #2 is not being penalized because he's an MLB. He's right behind Revis because his attributes are equally ridiculous for his position. That's exactly how I think the positional premiums should be handled. Position gets you a little boost. Elite attributes get you the draft slot.
I really like where the QB situation landed: Only four QBs make the 64 and I think that's fine. The important thing is that none of them are being forced into the first 20–25 picks simply because QB is valuable
32 — Drew Stanton
46 — Trent Edwards
57 — Tyler Palko
64 — Jordan Palmer
